NC Demos December Blog Hop

Hi there & Happy Holidays!

I am so honored to be the rookie member joining with the NC Demos for our December Blog Hop!
Our theme this month is Pick Three!  We were to pick one stamp set and use it three different ways.  This was a VERY hard assignment for me because we have so many great product offerings across our cattys!  I always tend to gravitate towards our floral sets so after much deliberation, I chose the Floral Essence stamp set as the featured set for my project trio.

My first project teams up Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive.  These colors add a wonderful richness to the project.  I wanted to echo the punched leaves and enlisted the help of the Layered Leaves Embossing folder.  The flowers are stamped with Blackberry Bliss and a blender pen was utilized to put the color towards the tips.  This technique softens the flowers for an elegant touch.   Then, I punched out the flowers using the Perennial Flower Punch.  The Clear Faceted Gems complete adds a nice amount of bling elegance to my card project.  The flowers are accented by leaves stamped in Old Olive and punched out using the Leaf Punch.

Although Christmas just passed us by, I am stay in gift giving mode all year along.  Using Very Vanilla as my base, I created a 2” wide tag and randomly stamped the full flower across the tag using the bright Flirty Flamingo ink.  The flower centers were created using Bermuda Bay and Delightful Daisy ink.  The tag is accented by a second tag created by the Everday Punch on a sheet from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Keeping gift tags on hand helps for those quick gifts throughout the year!

Last but not least is this Tiny Treat Box!  It is super cute!  I borrowed the background paper from the Lily Impressions DSP.  The Layering Oval dies showcase a flower stamped in Melon Mambo and Delightful Daisy ink.

Thanks for visiting my blog!  Please check out the other NC Demos and their wonderful creations!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

...and just like that, it is Christmas time!
For me, this is a time filled with family, friends and what I hope is a lot of crafting to share with those that I love!

Even though I have a busy full-time job, I’m a wife, Mom and daughter who is involved in a host of volunteer and extracurricular activities, being creating is an outlet for me leading towards relaxation and sharing a small part of myself with others.

Recently, in one of my swap groups, a crafty friend said let’s do a Christmas card swap.  I know I really didn’t have time for it but didn’t want to be left out of the fun.  Lol. The rules of engagement were 23 cards, they could be different or the same, but we had to use only Stampin’ Up products whether it was currently in the catalog or retired.

I teamed up the Night Before Christmas and the Wrapped in Plaid Design Series Papers along with coordinating ribbons to help with the heavy lifting in creating these cards.

Anyone who knows me well will tell ya that working with bold printed papers is typically not my thing.  These papers are so beautiful that they easily lent themselves to a clean and simple design.
My Sentiment is from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and is the focal design by using the Layering Circle Dies and Sprig Punch on this card.

Next up, we have basically the same layout but featuring different DSP and ribbon which gives the card a whole different look and feel.

Randy Elf came all the way from the North Pole to lend me a hand with these cards!
