Stampin' Up! Brights teams up with the Happiest of Birthdays!

 Well hello there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I just wanted to share these fabulously fun cards with you!  They are easel cards (fun fold) cards that feature the Brights Designer Series Paper and it is teamed up with a Sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s Happiest of Birthday Stamp set.

But wait, the fun doesn't stop there!  We can definitely say that the card also falls into the "Tool Time" category with use of Balloon Duet punch, the Scalloped Tag topper punch and the Stitched So Sweetly Framelit all by Stampin' Up!

I love, love, love celebrating people on their special day!  I feel birthdays are our own personal holidays!  The world changed on the day of our birth.  I like people in my circle to know that I love and cherish them!  I hope these cards do just that!

Thanks for looking!

Butterfly Beauty!

The Butterfly Beauty dies team up for this gorgeous card!

Recently, I had an amazing opportunity to spend the weekend with a wonderful group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the country!  We were an intimate group due to the COVID regulations and I can tell you, my heart is still brimming over from the experience.  With this opportunity, we were able to swap cards!  To be honest, I always have mounting anxiety wondering if my cards will measure up?  So, the card below is my little entry into the swap.  I made 31 of these jokers!  So, actually 62 passes through my Cut & Emboss Machine.  Crazy, huh?

The cards features the Butterfly Beauty dies.  These are from the Beauty Abounds stamp set bundle.  The tone-on-tone background was created using the Forever Fern stamp set, then I embossed the Granny Apple Green cardstock with the Textured Tile embossing folder (so yes, another 31 passes with the Cut & Emboss machine!)  One of my current favorites is the Beautiful Friendship stamp set that I teamed up with the Triple Banner punch to create the sentiment for this card.  Also, the Crumb Cake layer was embossed with the new Meadows embossing folder (yes, you guess it - another 31 passes with the Cut & Emboss machine!)   From the Gorgeous Grape base, the Granny Apple Green background and the additional Highland Heather color as the butterfly accent, I'm please with how my cards turned out!  I'm really enjoying this color combination!  The Polka Dotted tulle ribbon adds a touch of elegance!

Playing with Patterns!!

EEEEKKK!
If you know me, then you know that I typically shy way from bold, busy patterns. They scare me. LOL.

Slowly but surely, I am coming around to them and have happily stretched outside of my comfort zone with just a bit of prompting! This project features the Playing Patterns Suite that is featured on pages 102-103 of the Stampin' Up 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.

Once I got started, I couldn't stop! I was a ball of energy, on a roll, after teaming up with a group of fabulous Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Great Lakes Region under the leadership of Ms. Shannon West, who is amazingly awesome!
So, we each out to pick a Designer Series Paper (affectionately known as DSP) in Stampin' Up speak and do some projects with it. Simple, right?!?! Did I mention the UPS man rang my doorbell at 3pm on the day we presented our projects?!!? No pressure at all. I wasn't stressed. Do you read the sarcasm?

Ok, but all is well that ends well and this, my friends, went well. I made 5 cards in the course of the evening!!  Did you hear / read what I just said?  FIVE cards!  That's unprecedented for your girl right here because I am a s.l.o.w. creator!  LOL
This is the first card out of the five cards.  It's a clean and simple design featuring a sentiment from the Pattern Play stamp set on a stitched circle.  The Textured Textiles embossing folder gives the card an subtle background and the coordinating Resin dots ties it all together. The fun patterns of the DSP are showcased using flags created by the Triple Banner Punch.

The second card is a bit of a stepped up version of the first card.   It features the Playful Alphabet dies from the suite.  These tiny letters are absolutely superb!  The tip I shared on our Demonstrator presentation was to  re-purpose the plastic Extra gum containers to capture your small pieces and framelits while you are using your Cut and Emboss machine!

Now, this card is something fun!
It's a SHAKER card!
ALL of the Playing with Patterns Suite teams up to create this fun project!
I did incorporate the Field of Flowers punch to create my shaker elements!
Shhh, I also used a few pieces of retired glitter elements for a pop of sparkle!

Ok!  Without further ado!  Are you ready for the stars of the show?
The Double Gatefold with Two Panel Cards!  💗

My projects were inspired by a Double Gatefold card with two panels that my friend Kim said she saw over on Splitcoast Stampers. I did change up the measurements in my project just a bit.  I loved this fancy fold design because I thought it easily lends itself to showcasing this beautiful Designer Series Paper!  The two cards below both use the Double Gatefold card design but look completely different due to the DSP's that were utilized.
These could be change up even more by using 4 pieces of the DSP on the project - one for each panel.

Gate Fold Card with Two Panels Things you’ll need:
Cardstock for base and mat
Patterned Paper (Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper - DSP)
Paper Trimmer with Scoring Blade
Bone Folder
Adhesive (liquid glue and dimensionals)
Stamp Set (Beautiful Friendship and Ridiculously Awesome)

Ready to create?
Step 1: Use the score tool to score the 5.5” x 8.5” cardstock at 2 ⅛” and 6 ⅜” on the long side.
Step 2: Fold the shorter panels in- make sure they are straight. Crease the edges with your bone folder.
Step 3: Use liquid glue to adhere each of the 1 3/4” x 5 1/8” pieces of DSP to each of the 2” x 5⅜” cardstock. (There will be two of each). You could consider making your panels at least ¼” shorter so that the base color also shows through when the panel mat is added. Step
4: Adhere the two panels to the smaller panels on the card.
Step 5: Decorate the two front panels. These measure 2” x 3 3/4”. Layer them onto the cardstock panels panels that measure 2 ⅜” x 4”.
Step 6: Adhere the two matted panels to the gate panels on the card base. Adhere the top panel (dsp here) using liquid glue only on the top left-hand gate. The right-hand side of the panel is un-glued.
Step 7: Adhere the bottom panel (sentiment) using the liquid glue on the bottom right hand gate. The left-hand side remains un-glued.
Step 8: Embellish your card as your heart desires!
 Step 9: For the inside of the card: The layering panels are 4” x 5 ¼” and 4 ⅛” x 5 ⅜”. Step
10: Decorate your envelope to match.

This set is SO VERY versatile!
Treat yourself!  Treat your friends! Treat your customers to the Playing with Patterns Bundle!

If you don't have yet have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to help you create something fabulous!

Give People Their Flowers!

Hey, y’all, hey!

I am happy to be joining in on the NC Demos Blog once again this month! If you have been hopping right along with us then you have seen some absolutely amazing projects! We always have fun when we gather together in the name of all things crafty and this is no exception! If you have arrived from Sue's blog, then you are on the right track!

I shared this project recently on my group page on FB which is called "Craft Lounge Creations. " We meet up pretty much on a bi-weekly basis in the Craft Lounge for Craft - N- Tutorials, such as this Card Gift Box. If you'd like to come chill with us in the Craft Lounge, please let me know. We welcome new friends all the time!

I also demonstrated how to create the Card Gift Box via a FB live for the NC Demos. I am still VERY new to the whole video recording world so hope that it was helpful. I am being brave and including my video below as well.

Here’s little my contribution to the mix - a Card Gift Box and four A2 sized cards to accompany it. I’m just loving the Flowers for Every Season printed paper teamed up with the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle!  However, this project can team up with any Designer Series Paper or for any event you'd like to celebrate, ranging from Christmas or just saying hello! Between the gorgeous choices in the Annual Catalog and the beautiful choices in the new holiday mini catalog, the choices are literally endless!

My project features the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper and features the colors from the 2020-2022 In-Colors and they are truly stunning! Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight make up this wonderful color family. You'll want to be sure to check it out! The Celebrate Sunflowers bundle is a real show stopper, in my humble opinion! One of my favorite things about Stampin' Up! is the color coordination of the embellishments. It all pulls together for a cohesive look!

For Demonstrators who are looking to showcase new product in a different way, I encourage you to give this Card GIft Box a Try! I have complete PDF's available with step-by-step instructions. If you are interested in one, please contact me directly!

Here’s my Card Box. I’m biased but I’m liking how it turned out! 😂

I plan to gift this box and the 4 cards that go in it to a sweet friend that always sends out birthday cards.

Want to learn how I created this project? I am sharing a video that I did as a Facebook live in the NC Demos group.
(Please be gentle as this was only my second FB live tutorial EVER!!!!) LOL

Thanks for stopping by the Craft Lounge Blog! I appreciate you chilling with me!

I am the caboose of this month's blog hop. If you made it this far, then you've made it to the end!

So Hard to Say Goodbye - Retiring Products

Hello!  And thanks for stopping by the Craft Lounge to chill with me for a few moments today!  If you found yourself here, then you have arrived from Martinette’s blog.
The title of the post is “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye” because we are honoring some of our favorite products that are retiring from the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up catalog.

My project for you today features the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and the coordinating Flourish framelit set.  I love both the phrases and artwork on the stamp set and when you team it up with the delicate die cuts from the Flourishing framelits set, you have a winning combination.  My goal was to great a simply elegant card and with the sentiment popped up on the Stitched Shapes circle framelit, I think this one does the trick!

My card combines the colors a Pool Party base, Gray Granite for the floral embellishments and a layer of Whisper White for simple elegance.  The center of the flowers are embellished with Adhesive Backed Sequins in Whisper White.

Let's talk about this stamp set some more.  It has 18 stamps in it!  18!!  This huge set is s very versatile with included phrases as well as the artwork.

This set is retiring at end of June.
